Housed in the historic 1912 Windhoek Railway Station, this museum tells the story of Namibia’s railway network — one of the colonial era’s most ambitious engineering projects. Vintage locomotives, rolling stock, station equipment and archival photographs document how the narrow-gauge line connected the coast to the interior. The station building itself is one of Windhoek’s finest examples of German colonial architecture.
