The ‘Ink Palace’ — Namibia’s Parliament building, built by the German colonial administration in 1913 to house the administrative offices of German South West Africa. The nickname comes from the enormous quantities of ink used by its bureaucrats. Now housing the Namibian National Assembly, it sits in beautifully maintained rose gardens that are open to the public. Guided parliamentary tours available when the Assembly is in recess.
