Standard guided tours include entry permit (Kolmanskop is inside the Sperrgebiet diamond restricted zone — your ticket is your access permit). Tours depart at 09:30 and 11:00 (Mon–Sat) and 10:00 (Sundays and public holidays) in English and German. Allow 2–4 hours on site. The guide explains the diamond rush history, the extraordinary German colonial infrastructure built in the desert and the eventual abandonment.
