The Keetmanshoop Museum is housed in the historic Rhenish Mission Church, one of the most beautiful colonial buildings in southern Namibia. The museum tells the story of the town’s founding, the Nama people, German colonial history, Karakul sheep farming and the development of the south. The church building itself (1895) is a National Monument.
