Windhoek’s most photographed landmark — a beautiful German Art Nouveau Lutheran church built in 1907 from local Namibian sandstone. Designed by architect Gottlieb Redecker, it stands at the intersection of Robert Mugabe Avenue and Fidel Castro Street. The warm terracotta sandstone and the green copper spire glow magnificently at sunrise and sunset. Free to enter during opening hours. One of the most-photographed buildings in sub-Saharan Africa.
