Ugab River Wilderness Hiking Trail — Skeleton Coast

A challenging 50km, three-day/two-night guided hiking trail operated by NWR inside the Skeleton Coast National Park, following the Ugab River canyon inland from the coast. The route traverses dramatic rock formations, ancient river terraces and reaches natural springs — water sources that support desert-adapted wildlife. The lunar landscape of eroded sedimentary rock along the Ugab gorge is unlike anything in southern Africa. Groups are limited in size and a NWR guide accompanies all parties. Book well in advance.
