Tsumeb — Gateway to Northern Namibia & Eastern Etosha

Tsumeb is the largest town in the Oshikoto Region and the main services hub on the B1 corridor heading north. It sits 70km from Etosha’s Von Lindequist Gate and is the standard overnight stop for travellers driving from Windhoek to Etosha via the eastern approach. Full services available: fuel, Spar and OK supermarkets, banks and ATMs, pharmacies, a hospital, and vehicle workshops. The town has a distinctive copper-mining character — the copper-green water tower is its most photographed landmark. Accommodation ranges from the central Makalani Hotel to the resort-style Kupferquelle complex.
