Shipwreck Lodge — Natural Selection, Skeleton Coast North

The only lodge inside the northern Skeleton Coast National Park — and one of the most extraordinary places to stay in the world. Ten cabins are designed to look like beached shipwrecks, strung along a dune crest facing the Atlantic. Fly-in only (private airstrip). Activities include game drives for desert-adapted lion (one of only two viable wild populations outside Etosha), desert elephant, brown hyena and giraffe in the Hoarusib and Hoanib river valleys; guided walks on the ancient foggy coastline; and visits to fur seal colonies and historic shipwrecks.
