A cultural education centre in Ondangwa that preserves and presents the heritage, history and traditions of the Ovambo people — Namibia’s largest population group who make up roughly half the national population. Exhibits cover traditional governance structures, aakwiita age-regiments, agriculture practices (mahangu cultivation, cattle kraals), material culture, and the history of Ovamboland’s resistance to colonial rule. Recommended alongside the Nakambale Museum for a rounded understanding of northern Namibia’s human story.
