The Naukluft Mountains are dissected by dramatic gorges carved by seasonal rivers. Natural springs feed permanent water sources — Tsams Gorge, Quiver Tree Gorge and Waterkloof are the most spectacular. Mountain zebra, klipspringer and leopard live among the rocky cliffs. The canyon walls expose 600 million years of geological time.
