A 1,010 km² national park on the Kwando River in the eastern Caprivi Strip, south of Katima Mulilo. Mudumu is one of Namibia’s most species-rich parks: elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, African wild dog, hippo, crocodile, sitatunga, red lechwe, sable antelope, eland, giraffe, zebra and 430 recorded bird species (including African skimmer, African fish eagle and western-banded snake eagle). Boat safaris on the Kwando give exceptional close-range hippo and waterbird encounters. Self-drive and guided options both available.
