Hardap Dam Birding — 260 Species & Pelican Colony

One of Namibia’s most productive birding sites: 260 species recorded around the dam and its shores. The standout attraction is a thriving great white pelican breeding colony — one of the most strategically important in Namibia. Flamingos, fish eagles, cormorants, herons, kingfishers and a huge variety of waders line the shore. The dam viewpoints from the NWR resort plateau give an excellent panoramic scan.
