NWR’s flagship southern Namibia resort, at the southern end of Fish River Canyon. 43 rooms: 16 river-view doubles, 20 mountain-view doubles and 7 bush chalets. Camping also available. The name ‘/Ai-/Ais’ means ‘burning water’ in Nama — referring to the 60°C mineral-rich thermal springs that emerge from the earth here. The resort sits at the floor of the canyon, dramatically enclosed by ancient cliff walls. The traditional endpoint of the 5-day Fish River Canyon hike.
